This Auscision 16AE represents a Victorian Railways passenger carriage, finished in the classic VR Carriage Red livery as seen between 1971 and 1985.
The model is in good condition and comes as a single car, unboxed.
A great addition to any passenger consist from the later VR era, ideal for recreating country and mainline passenger services of the 1970s and 1980s.
Prototype Background
Victorian Railways passenger cars such as the AE class were used extensively across the network on both long-distance and interurban services.
By the 1970s, many of these carriages were repainted into the standard VR Carriage Red scheme, becoming a familiar sight on passenger trains throughout Victoria.
These cars operated in various consists and were commonly seen alongside other steel-bodied VR carriages, remaining in service into the early V/Line era.
