This Auscision 2AE represents a Victorian Railways AE First Class passenger carriage, finished in the elegant Crimson Lake livery and fitted with 6-wheel bogies, typical of early 20th century VR passenger stock.

The model is in good condition and comes as a single car with original box.

A perfect addition for layouts depicting steam-era Victorian Railways passenger services from the 1920s through to the early 1950s.

Prototype Background

The AE First Class carriages were part of Victorian Railways’ mainline passenger fleet during the early to mid-20th century.

Built for long-distance travel, these cars provided a higher level of comfort for passengers and were commonly seen on express and country services.

Finished in the distinctive Crimson Lake livery, these carriages became synonymous with Victorian Railways passenger operations during the steam era, often running in rakes behind steam locomotives on mainline services across the state.
