Prototype Background
The GH class grain wagons were purpose-built for transporting bulk grain across the Victorian Railways and later V/Line network.
Variants such as this 3 hatch version allowed for more efficient loading at larger grain terminals, while the dual discharge hoppers enabled quick unloading at processing facilities.
Finished in Hansa Yellow, these wagons were highly visible and commonly seen in block grain trains and mixed freight consists.
