This Auscision Models U1022 represents a classic Victorian Railways U Van, finished in VR livery and lightly weathered to give the model a realistic in-service appearance.

The model is in great condition and comes unboxed.

U vans were widely used for general goods traffic, making them a versatile wagon suitable for many Victorian Railways freight consists.

Prototype Background

The Victorian Railways U Van was a standard covered goods wagon designed to transport freight requiring protection from weather and damage during transit.

These wagons were used extensively across the VR network carrying general merchandise, packaged freight, agricultural produce, and other goods. Their versatility meant they appeared regularly in mixed freight trains across both branch lines and mainline services.

Over time many vans were modified or rebuilt, resulting in several different body styles and detail variations across the fleet.
