Prototype Background
During the Victorian Railways era, a number of goods wagons were painted in commercial advertising liveries promoting companies whose products were transported by rail.
These wagons operated within general freight consists, standing out amongst the standard wagon red fleet with bold and colourful branding.
The White Crow advertising wagon is one of the well-known examples from this series and reflects the strong relationship between rail freight and Australian industry during the VR era.
