Royal Navy Armaments Depots (RNAD) were strategically important facilities across the UK, responsible for the storage and distribution of armaments for the Royal Navy and other British and Commonwealth armed forces. These depots typically featured multiple underground magazines and were rail-served by the national network, with many also operating internal narrow gauge railway systems to move materials between magazines, workshops, and standard gauge exchange sidings.

These narrow gauge railways operated their own specialised fleets of locomotives and rolling stock, purpose-built for heavy and hazardous duties. While some RNAD railways remained in operation into the early 21st century, closures eventually rendered much of the stock redundant. Thankfully, many items have since entered preservation, gaining a new lease of life.
