On the Skarloey Railway, goods arriving at Crovan’s Gate are transferred to narrow gauge trains for delivery across Sodor’s industries and rural communities.

This style of box van is used for transporting goods requiring protection from the weather, making it a key part of everyday railway operations.

The railway itself is inspired by the real-life
Talyllyn Railway, giving this model a grounding in authentic narrow gauge practice.
