Product Description
This highly detailed 82 Class Series 4 locomotive represents 8201 in Freight Rail livery, covering operations from 1994 through to 2022.
Released by Clyde Engineering in partnership with General Motors EMD, the first 82 Class rolled out of Clyde’s Mittagong plant on 23 March 1994, marking a new era in Australian freight rail operations. A total of 58 units were built.
The 82 Class has operated extensively across New South Wales, into Queensland and Victoria on intermodal services, and in South Australia on the Leigh Creek coal service. Today, they continue to haul coal and grain services statewide, including through Sydney and on local trip workings.
Four units have been lost over time:
8219, 8246 & 8247 (Beresfield, NSW)
8221 (engine room fire)
This HO scale model from On Track Models delivers exceptional detail and smooth performance, making it a standout locomotive for modern NSW freight layouts.
