The Red Wing Flour Mill captures the look and feel of a contemporary grain milling operation in a size that will suit many HO scale layouts. Representing the style of flour mills seen from the 1950s onwards, this structure reflects the shift from earlier water-powered mills to large concrete processing plants handling enormous quantities of flour and other milled grains.

In operation, mills like this once received grain in boxcars, but later moved to covered hoppers. Outbound flour and meal could be shipped in Airslide-style covered hoppers as well as bulk hopper trucks, making this kit a great fit for a wide range of modern freight operations.

The model features truck and rail loading facilities, along with blowers, vents, separate doors and windows, and full-colour decal signs to help bring the finished structure to life. Once assembled, the finished kit measures approximately 8 x 11 x 10-3/8 inches or 20 x 27.5 x 26.5cm.
