Country Branch Lines NSW – Part 5, Volume 1 Blayney to Harden Cross-Country Line, Grenfell and Eugowra Branches
Country Branch Lines NSW – Part 5, Volume 1 Blayney to Harden Cross-Country Line, Grenfell and Eugowra Branches
Explore the railway history of the Blayney–Harden cross-country line and its associated branch lines in Country Branch Lines NSW – Part 5, Volume 1.
Constructed during the late 19th century, the cross-country route provided an important inland connection across New South Wales, allowing railway traffic to travel between regional centres without passing through the increasingly busy Sydney metropolitan network.
Several branch lines were later developed from the route, including the lines to Eugowra and Grenfell. This first volume concentrates on the section between Blayney and Cowra, together with the Eugowra branch, documenting the stations, locomotives, trains, yards and infrastructure that shaped railway operations through this part of country New South Wales.
Compiled by Richard Barrack and published by Train Hobby Publications, the book combines historical information with large-format railway photography. It is an excellent reference for NSW railway enthusiasts, local historians, photographers and model railway builders interested in authentic branch-line operations and infrastructure.
