Oxford Diecast: Grey Ferguson TEA Tractor
Oxford Diecast: Grey Ferguson TEA Tractor
Add a classic piece of post-war farming history to your OO scale layout with the Oxford Diecast Grey Ferguson TEA Tractor.
Known affectionately as the “Little Grey Fergie”, the Ferguson TE20 became one of the most important tractors in agricultural history. Production began at the Standard Motor Company’s Banner Lane factory in Coventry on 6 July 1946, after Standard’s managing director, Sir John Black, reached an agreement with Harry Ferguson to manufacture tractors in Britain.
The TE20, with “TE” standing for Tractor England, quickly became a milestone in farming. Early examples used imported American engines, before the British-built 2088cc Standard engine, developed from the Standard Vanguard unit, was introduced from July 1948. By 1956, more than 517,000 Ferguson TE20 tractors and variants had been built, and many examples remain in use today.
This 1:76 scale Oxford Diecast model captures the familiar grey finish of the Ferguson TEA tractor, making it ideal for farm scenes, rural layouts, country stations, agricultural dioramas and OO scale model railway settings.
